BrokenART exists to serve as a forum for the artwork of Brian D. Hawk. The driving motivation behind Brian's artwork is the exploration and expression of the internal duality of all things, the conflict of nature which fuels the ongoing battle between the good and evil in all of us -- not only through naturally opposing pairs of concepts such as Life and Death, Black and White, Heaven and Hell -- but by searching for the underlying presence masked by superficial imagery, so that the viewer percieves what appears pleasant and happy as disturbing and potentially terrifying, and sees the macabre and horrific as beutiful.
